Mistking

This will be my third one has anyone else had this problem ?
What problem? My starter kit pump Is erratic and noisy after 6 months. This is funny....my pump from the ultimate kit came today. It looks WAY superior! Its going in when the noisy 1 dies

Did you purge the lines of air at the furthest mist head? I have to do this after my reservoir runs dry.

The air in the lines won't open the check valve inside the mist head so you need to purge that.

An I never got this
Is the motor dead? What pump you using? This is the second starter pump for me.........NO MORE
so pretty much I have the basic mistking think I can have 8 or 10 Nozzles an the pump goes on just no water gets through But if I have the pump a current way it works when it wants to now mad werid

Is your pump above your water suppy? You might be losing your prime. Put your water, level with or above the pump........see if that helps

That sounds more like air in the line. I had something similar when I first set it up, but when I got the distances right between reservoir and pump*, everything's been copacetic for 15 months, even after power outages and reservoir going dry a few times.

* I had to make sure that the pump inlet was at least 2" lower than the res. outlet and that there is at least 12" of tubing between res. and pump as described in the manual. I believe these have to do with keeping the pump primed at all times. Some have gotten them to work with different parameters, but I'm not so lucky. 🤷‍♂️

I'm confident it's air in your line. Have you purged the air, while the pump is running, at the farthest (highest) mist head?

To do this, start your pump and while it's running remove the push-to-connect fitting right before the last/highest mist head. Once water is consistently flowing out of the tube, and while the pump is still running, reinstall the tube.

If you dont get any water flow while the head is disconnected then the pump is the issue.

Having 2" drop from outlet to pump is almost irrelevant since the head pressure of your reservoir will be greater. Unless your reservoir is small.

3 gallons. Decreasing the drop, it doesn't work, period.
Raising it the 2", it's worked every time.
Proof of the pudding & all.
