Mistking

Hi all.

I have read good things about these on here and it seems they are the best mister out there.

At the moment I am hand misting my Cham's daily which would be a huge benefit to automate.

I have 2 viv's set up like this....

I need to know if one mist king can be used to mist both vivs?

Will I need to make an alterations to my current set up?

Will I need to make any alterations to the mist king or buy anything extra?

Also, can someone help me by telling me exactly which system i will need so I can calculate costs online?

Many thanks.

Mistking are awesome. all you need to do is buy the kit and hook it up your set ups look fine. any kit from them will work there smallest kit will run up to 10 cages:)

Just go on there website and all will be explained, the basic $99 model is more than adequate for your needs (www.mistking.com) ! i to will be purchasing a Mistking for my viv, and that decision was made by reading all the comments and seeing the video's (hope i wont be dissapointed!LOL)

Yea, the starter kit is great for 2+ cages. Additionally, you will need to buy an extra T nozzle from them. Because you'll have to have the Pump----->T nozzle------>L nozzle. The kit only brings an L nozzle.

And that'll be that, you won't need to add anything else besides a reservoire bucket and maybe some drainage buckets, depending how much water you're going to run through the cages.

I'm getting my second mistking in the mail tomorrow :D It's a lifesaver, you'll never know how you lived without it.

I have the biggener kit and it runs three cages right now. In two weeks it will be misting six. It's a great mister.

Fantastic thats great advice folks.

I would want to mist perhaps 3/4 times a day for 2/3min periods. Going by this estimate, what sort of sized reservoir/drainage tub would I need? I have no idea how much each misting uses.

How do the nozzles fit into the Reptibreeze, would I need to cut a hole and thread it in for example?

They sell corner pieces for mounting the nozzles if you aren't able to make something yourself. A 5 gallon "paint" bucket can be bought at any hardware store for the water resevoir.
I've been running mine for 2 years and have only replaced one 90 so far. Good system for sure!!

The mist king set up is very simple and easy. If u only want to run two cages u r more than fine with the standard kit and purchase and extra nozzle. The only extra piece I needed was like a triangle piece of 1/4inch wood. This was to mount my nozzle in the top corner of my cage. The Mist king was the best product I have bought so far for my Cham. I did have to change my cage a little bit be cause i need a drainage system after I put this in. Depending on the amount of mistings u set it for and how long u may need away to get rid of the extra water. Also the pump with the standard kit can run up to ten nozzles so u will be just fine with that.

Looks like it's cheaper to order from Canada than it is from Europe! So that's what I shall do.

Going to order the following....
1x Mist King ($99)
1x T connection
1x L nozzle

Is the zipdrip really worth the extra money?

In my opinion, no, the zip drip isn't necesary for our cham cages. Mine might drip a drop or three after it's done misting so it doesn't make a difference in my life not having one.

The $99 kit already comes with 1x L nozzle. So if for 2 cages without zipdrip then you only need to add a 1x T nozzle assembly into the order. See download instruction on page 6 for non zipdrip. http://www.mistking.com/support/misting_system_instructions.pdf

The zipdrip is not necessary IMO.

I have 3 cages connection and set 4x day 2 minutes each time and it use approximately 1 gallon a week. I use 5 gallons reservoir and fill it with 3gallons every 3 weeks or so. Since I have plenty of plants to help out the drainage so I don't worry about empty or clean out every 2 months or so and its also a 5 gallon container.

If need extra tubing you can find them it your local hardware store, here in US they have it at Home Depot or Lowes $3 for 20feet of 1/4inch tubing.

WOW! those lamps are blinding1 what type are they? anyways i dont use mistking or anything i just use an ordinary spray bottle, but yes it is longer but i prefere the spray bottle

How hard is to set up? I'm still hand misting 8 cages and its getting tedious to say the least. I'm not too mechanically inclined.

Not hard at all. Cut tubing, stick tubing into proper nozzles, put one end of tubing into a reservoire, and ta-da! There's nothing mechanical to do, unless you want to get fancier and screw the pump to the wall or something.

The way I have my room set up is my males are in 4 2x2x4 cages on one side and the females are in 5 18x18x36 on the opposite side. Will one starter kit work for all of these if I run that much line? Or would I be better off purchasing 2?

If I buy extra T nozzles, Do they just hook up and continue to run line to the next cage? or do I have to buy any extra adapters?
