Molly looking exceptionally well today

Molly is looking very nice today. She seems happy. I think she knows people are pulling for her. If anyone wishes to help her out donations are always appreciated. I am having a tough time coming up with the money for Molly's treatments and anything from feeders to pocket change is very helpful. If anyone wishes to mail any donations to Molly the address to use is: Kayla, 3 Hawthorne Drive Bedford, NH 03110, United states. Thank you in advanced from the bottom of my heart to anyone who helps this poor little girl. You can find her story throughout chameleon forums, just look up keywords Molly, infection.

First of all my praise for doing so much for the little one. Religious or not, God does see what we do, good and the bad. This does not go unnoticed.

Secondly, what is molly in need of? I have access to a lot of medical supplies are work, perhaps something she needs I can get there. Financial wise do you have a paypal address?

Thirdly, No clue about it yet but I am entered in the photo contest. If it should happen that my photo wins, consider the certificate yours - I am sure chameleons north west or someone would be glad to redeem it for supplies.

Molly does look lovely and happy indeed.

justjumpit, where do you buy your supplies from? Also, what vet are you using? Maybe provide a link to their site if there is one.

I hate to be the cynic, but I've been generous before and discovered later that I had been scammed...it was a case of a longtime online associate who became critially ill. Her son showed up with credentials...we gathered money together to help him help his mother but learned later that our hundreds of dollars did nothing for her. His wife used it for her expenses and asked people to give her more money to pay bills.

I'm sure this is not like that but you know the old saying: fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I know that I, and perhaps others, would feel better about creating credit for your bills at the vets or the sources you use for supplies.

On that note, you should really edit your post to remove your address... I'm very, very happy that nothing bad has ever happened to you because of online activities (or, you would never have done that) but I'd much rather you never have the experience. Change it to "send me a PM and I'll give you an address you can use"...

Basic online security doesn't seem to be a big thing on this forum, and maybe that reflects the essential goodness of the group, but bad people look to good groups for victims. People need to stop giving up their personal information. And, moderators need to start stepping in when people do give up personal information and edit the posts. If you for one minute think that the board would be exempt from a lawsuit because the person willingly posted the information when there were moderators around who should have stopped it, you are wrong. In the short time I've been here I've seen a number of people post phone numbers and addresses. That is ill advised at best. It should be board policy that it is not allowed. Trust me, if someone stupidly posts his personal information here and is subsequently robbed or worse and it's traced back to the fact the information was online here, the board owner will be held culpable regardless of what might be written in the terms of use. The very presence of "moderators" will be proof that some one was watching and should have stepped in to stop the unknowing poster from creating bad situation.

This is not intended as argument, it is intended as advice. People can ignore it and I can hope that nothing bad happens as a result. I'm fine with that.

Bless her, she is so sweet. I really hope she will make a full and speedy recovery. It is just awful when they are so ill and you cannot make it better for them. It`s great that your so committed to getting her vetinary treatment - I know how expensive it is. Hang in there. :)

Kayla and Molly are for real. I have been following her threads and Molly's progress since she joined the forums. Molly was a rescure form PetSmart, in very bad shape when Kayla took her in. Below are a few of her past links with vet info and so forth that was in question. I also agree that it might be better to give out her address after a PM. Anyone interested in helping could always pay toward vet bills directly (charge card by phone) or whatever. Kayla and Molly are for real. Jann

Sorry, I didn't mention, that is not my address, I pick up my mail there. It is a business address and is available online also. I work at a veterinary office and do get some of my medications from there but some of it we do not carry as we do not do reptiles. I am going to The Odd Pet Vet in south waymouth and he seems very knowledgeable. As Jann said, I am not a scammer and she has sent me some things before, bless her! I have just fallen on very hard times and the choice is either ask for help or give her up. I do have paypal, but the next medication he wants to send up to a pharmacy closer to me so I don't know how I could use a credit. The main things are vet bills and food. I also need to buy a new 18" UVB bulb as it is getting old. I wish I could pay for all of thesethings but I just can't :( I spend the money on food for myself, bills, rent, and gas on Molly and my significant other is not happy.

Oh thank you! I have always wanted to enter Molly in the photo contest but she is not well and 1. people would not vote for her and 2. a sick chameleon would not look good on the calendar

I believe that...but you know the old saying "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me"...I've been fooled, I tend to ask questions.

Excellent... That's exactly the sort of address you should post online. I'm sorry if I am over protective but I've suffered from being too trusting online and don't want anyone else to go through that.

I'll check with The Odd Pet and see if I can put some credit on your account. If that doesn't work, we'll figure out something. Maybe you get your feeders from a source on the internet?

I do want to help you, but after the deal where an online friend's son scammed me when she was dying...I'm sensitive.

I will happily call your vet and put money to your account. It won't happen until Monday because long distance calls are free for me at work (the advantage of a company that talks to people all over the place).

Thank you :) I get my feeders from dave's dragons. www.davesdragons.com

He doesn't have a very wide selection but I can get the individual feeders unlike at chain stores where I need to buy a container of them. I also get my supplies from there.

We are hoping not for a little bit. It is a very long drive and he doesn't want me to keep having to drive there so he is going to send up as much stuff as he can. She will need to have her abscesses drained at some point though..

If I can't manage a deal with the vets, I'm sure I can manage a deal with dave's dragons.

I agree, Molly is looking so good. She and you are really inspiring.

Thank you so much :) You have no idea how much that means to me. Some days I just feel like she is never going to get better but everyone here and seeing her keeps me motivated to try and help her, even if it means spending every penny I have :p Everyones donations are really a godsend to us, without you all I don't know what would happen to Molly and I don't want to think about it :(

So i finally got in touch with Dr. Mertz after a week of phone tag, he wants to try genomycin. It is the only medication that will work on her. Has anyone ever thried colloidial silver? My friend told me about it and I was wondering if anyone else has had results.
