Hey guys i was wondering if it would be safe to put a money tree in my panther's cage?... anyone? thanks...

I have heard they can be toxic? But I have one with my panther because he doesn't eat foliage. So if your panther doesn't eat the plants then I would say it's okay.

No sometimes they start doing it when they are older. Get a schefflera, sometimes mistakenly called a "money tree" but it's not, it's an umbrella tree.

I've searched this topic for weeks and either:
A. People say they've had it in their cham's cage with no ill effects, or
B. People say, "I heard it's toxic, dont' use it."

Yet, nobody has any examples or 1st hand experiences of the plant actually being toxic.

I have one in my veiled's cage, and everything is fine thus far. He does eat the leaves, his appetite is fine, and nothing negative to report. However, I will say it's only been a week that the tree has been in there.
