Monkey as pet?

After watching an episode of "I Survived" a chimp chewed off some dudes foot, and a pack of them beat a guy to death and chewed off his hands a feet(chimp sanctuary) lol I think I am good with my Chameleon

Yeah the great apes are nothing but trouble. I dont think anyone should have a pet thats got human tendencies and is sometimes smarter then most people, it seems like to much can happen so fast. Its like having a mentally capable 3 year old Bodybuilder on steroids and thats got the sex drive of a 16 year old on viagra. Not a good combo.

Lol yeah really good point there, not to mention I think in the TV show they said that the strength of a full grown chimp is 10x that of a very strong FULL grown adult haha do not piss that off

Growing up, my neighbor had a Monkey. I spent many years babysitting this monkey. Stop, no, don't do it. It's like having a toddler stuck in the terrible 2's era. This monkey lived over 40 years. Imagine a 40 year old acting like a 2 year old toddler.

This thread is over 10yrs old (last comment in 2012) I suspect the comment above from today was spam. No regular old Joe should own a monkey though as a pet. You are spot on about the 40 yr toddler though.

I just looked at the last comment and thought do not get a monkey. The cuteness wears off after diaper change number 1000!
