Ha! Interesting observation-- sounds like you did well in trig, Amanda The recent Texas rain has provided the ideal lighting for these shots. It'll be interesting to compare their horn growth in photographs once they reach full maturity...

Thanks for the notes Jordan, David. These were shot with the small but always dependable Nikon D40 and a 105mm F2.5 Nikkor lens. I've previously shot the deremensis using a fast 50mm prime, but they despise the camera, so it was tough to capture any natural behavior. The use of this telephoto changed the direction of the game-- can't wait to go out and shoot some more.

#2 is my favorite!

Ah, good choice. That one currently resides as a wallpaper on my phone...

Ah the good ol D40. I have my D5000 but only have my 18-55 and 55-200 AF/VR kit lenses so far. Cant wait to get a good lens like yours to take my pics
