Monty just threw up

Friday afternoon's check up saw Monty getting a different antibiotic injection that lasts a few days as he was resisting my attempts to medicate him at home. Still, at least his jaw muscles and foot grip are still strong! He was also given another dose of liquid paraffin. The vet felt his tummy and said that the 'lump' now felt smaller. We were also given critical care formula to give daily, because Monty's eyes are so swollen he is unable to focus them both to the front to catch food.

Amy's eyes did exactly the same when her body was riddled with infection, but the vet said that the xrays showed nothing else apart from the 'lump' that he thinks was an impaction. We have another check up tomorrow and I am going to ask about blood tests to see if anything else is going on. Here's a couple of pics of his eyes.

Wow, I have never seen eyes that puffy.:( But with the vet care you are giving that sweet boy, I am confident all will soon be well.

Not good Kate. The vet wouldn't do blood tests as he is too small and it would mean taking over half his blood volume to get enough to test. He had another antibiotic injection with vitamins this time. Basically there isn't anything else he can do. He did say that it could be Monty's albumen levels are low which is causing the swelling in his eyes.
