Where does he stay most of the time? Perhaps if its near the basking spot, the rest of the enclosure is too cold?

What type of cham? How old? Are you strictly cup feeding? If so, try free ranging your feeders. I have a large grape vine in my cages that are full of holes and hiding places. Thre crickets and supers and flies will hide in them and that causes my chams to really have to hunt for their food. When their hungry they will typically make several rounds through the cage to find their food. It may just be that he has no reason to move. Also try different feeders, more active. Keep us updated. David

He is a senegal he is one and a half years old and yes i do cup feed, the temperature is okay but once in a while i get some moths and thow them in the cage and he does chase them but the problem with free roaming is that theyescape thow holes i made in the mess screen(for the drip system wireing and things like that):D

Ha ha ha

Just try getting that Senegal to move more!

Very stationary species ... they camp out for a long time in the same place.

I would think you would know this since you created an information site about them

Well they are chameleons.
Not really an animal known for it's high energy or for taking "racing spurts" around the enclosure.

chameleon is a deliberate animal.
they don't really like to move until they have to (hunting, finding better spot for basking, etc).

As long as they are alert (not sleeping) and can ambulate their body, you can relax a bit.

yeah I have to agree, My 18-20 week old male veiled does the same thing. He has his favorites spots in his cage, especially his basking spot. He spends a large portion of his time throughout the day just chilling under his bulb but when he's thirsty he'll venture down across the cage to the dripper, which is the only way he'll drink. He absolutely hates being misted with a passion. Even more then when I put my hand in his cage but I still do it anyway i just don't mist him directly or he gives me go to hell looks and hisses lol. Or when he's hungry he'll venture around and find a roaming cricket or silkworm then he returns to his spot and continues to look around making sure he knows whats going on around him. But yeah, he definitely doesn't run circles around his cage for 10 hours a day, he likes to chill in certain places, but is very active when he sees something he wants or see's me coming with the misting bottle. lol

Plug your holes with non-toxic silicone or if theres only a few, plug them with a wad of paper or wood.

ok

but the funny story is that in the summer he starts moving all around his cage and climbs the screen walls goes upside down and all sorts of weird things.:D

If you have a camera, it would be great if you could post a pic. We rarely get to see the out of the ordinary species. Good luck with him. David

Was that a New York "you talkin to me" or is it really a question? Just a lame joke. Yes I was talking to you. Would love to see some pics of your senegal. David

Ok i will try

sorry not this one
