Moving my Cham

Hey there I’m moving a verocussus Cham that’s 1 year 9 months old I’m just moving him from one house to another it’s not far but I’m worried about it. I can’t imagine losing him, what’s the safest way to move him?

most either use a small cat carrier, or a shoe box with a stick through it. People make it across several states with a few hotels stays, just fine, with multiple chameleons. Basically they goto sleep for a day or 2, and wake up in the new house.

I bought a 16x16x20 small reptibreeze cage for mine to have for emergencies or to use when I want to clean his cage out without stressing him out. It is not expensive but just added somevines and its ready to go. I have a 6" pothos plant I can sit in the bottom to add greenery so he feels normal.

Well he’s not exactly the smallest Cham and he can have quite the bite

Use two sticks, one in front one in back. Gently poke him until he walks forward onto the front branch.
