Moving Soon

Zoey

New Member
Hi, my boyfriend and I are moving soon and we have a 7 month old Veiled Chameleon names Zoey. She has a HUGE cage.

We are moving from Idaho down to Utah, a move that will take us about 5-6 hours in the end. We would be driving.

How can we move Zoey with as little stress as possible? Is the move going to be too big for her? Would finding her a new home be the best instead of taking her on that trip?

She's our First Chameleon so I'm not sure on any of this... Just want to do whats best for her.

(I've attached a pic of Zoey and her Cage-cage is before we decorated it up for her)

She'd be a little stressed with a move but nothing more then a cham would be when shipped. Package her in a small shoe box with a towel in it. Make sure you give her enough time in the box to fall asleep and then be on your way with her. She will most likely sleep the whole way up in the front with you by your feet.

i heard of people using the paper bag method....im not sure if it will work for you but the chameleon is beautiful by the way.

Put a her in a paper bag and they usaully sleep the whole way. It usaully isnt that stressful for her either

New Question

Do I have to get Zoey VET CHECKED and get a Health Certificate on her in able to move her across state lines?

Thanks with any luck it will be in the early-late spring, so its warm enough for them. Last time we moved poor Zoey had to go out in the freezing winter air. Don't worry she was in a carrier covered with a blanket to keep out most of the cold. But I don't want to do that again.

(BTW it wasnt my choice to move her in the cold. Finacial issues forced us to move and be out right then. so no lectures please? :) )
