Ready or.. not big change soon.. 😮

I had the day off, so I was able to get a lot more done on Jade's upgraded enclosure. She is currently in an 18x18x36 Reptibreeze screen and I'm fixing her up a 24x24x48. So tomorrow is the big day. I really need to get her moved because I have no idea how close she might be to egg-laying time, and there is just not enough room in her tiny cage for her sand box. I was stressing out probably more than she was about getting the big piece of driftwood out of her enclosure today and putting it into the new one.. I had to unwind a bunch of bend-a-branches and pothos, undo her water dripping hose, without her totally freaking out. I was surprised she hardly seemed bothered at all. I waited for her lights to go out so I could take her basking light and put it on the new cage to check the distance from the branches in case I need to change things before moving her tomorrow. I still have all of her vines and branches amd plants to move over from her small cage, plus I did not fasten up all the other plants yet or it will be too heavy to move.. I'm working on it on the dining table. I went to get the thermometer out of her cage, and this is where she decided to park for the night! 🤪 That is not a black vine. 🤣

🤣 of course that’s where she decided to sleep! It’s coming along great. Remember: any unused space is wasted. Put tons of branches and vines for her to climb. I know it’s not done and there are still things in her current enclosure, but before you move her over you can always post a picture here of the new one. We can give you any advice or suggest tweaks at that point. It will be much easier to fix things before she is in it than after. It really is looking great. You have a good variety of diameters on the branches. That’s going to be great for exercising her little feet muscles! I see the money tree, umbrella tree(?) and the pathos, but what is that other plant in the back on the left?

oooo...that's my new creeping fig.. I got 3 little ones of those and am going to attach them all around. also since posting that picture I added 2 more sticks that were baking in the oven. 😁 I believe I'll have enough to fill it up. Her feeding dish hangs on that chain so it takes up space.. and she does like to climb in that too. I'm so excited. Thanks so much for the encouragement. 🥰

Sweet! I’m not a good plant person. I can’t tell what anything is and I can’t keep anything alive 🤣 I have a monstera in my guys enclosure. Between my terrible gardening skills and his tendency to eat his plants, it rarely even needs trimmed😅 I have a rotation of pathos that I often have to switch out. I have to use the ‘double pot’ method. I attach empty pots like your plants are now, and then just drop in the plant in its own pot. That way when either he or I end up killing it, it’s no trouble to swap it out.
