Mulburry chow for crickets?

I bought silkworms for my chameleon, but he ignored them and they all eventually died. I had purchased a pound of powdered chow and made one batch. Can I feed this left over batch to my crickets?

And how do you guys entice your chams to eat silkworms that hardly move??

My last veiled loved them and ate them right away, so I figure he may grow into it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Good question!

I was wondering the exact same thing a few weeks ago. Hopefully someone can elaborate.

Thanks for the reply. I assumed it would be good for them as I do agree they eat just about everything.

Any tips about how to get my cham to be interested in silkworms?

I currently have crickets and lobster roaches. The roaches are very keen on hiding so my cham never gets a chance to eat them. And he runs from my attempts to cup feed him.

My tarantula eats the roaches so I figured I'd keep them around, as they are very easy to keep. I am considering buying hissers but really don't have much room for another storage bin.

He loves crickets for now and I am hoping that in a few months he will be down to eat those nutritious silkies.

I find that some chameleons dont recognise them as food because they dont always move around very much. Once you get him to cup feed or hand feed I bet he will love them. You could also try offering them without any other foods and make sure he is hungry when you offer them. I also have noticed that my chameleons really like eating fat juicy ones. Sometimes they ignore the small ones and only like the bigger ones.
