Munching habits

Hi there, I have a veiled chameleon that is growing extremely fast and very healthy. I had recently taken him out of his cage and put him on my shoulder to clean up in his home. Ever since I set him on his branch he hasn't touched any food and he has been sleeping upside down and just now laying on the bottom of his cage. I have nevee seen him do this. Is there anything I can do or change to get him to eat and act normal?

I would fill out the help form just to make sure everything is set up correctly. For starters a coconut fiber substrate isn't ideal. You'll also want a proper laybox. When a problem arises and people don't fill out the form, there's really no way to tell. Veileds are not difficult at all and pretty much reproduce like rabbits so if you have everything set up as It should be, your girl should thrive.

What so you recommend for a substrate and how do I make a proper lay box? What is the help form, how do I get it?

We had to find an exotic vet fast during one of the worst times ever with a 3 day power outage and flooded basement to boot and have had luck with http://www.parkway-animal-hospital.com so far....but we only had a r.i., and were perscribed the most commonly perscribed/started antibiotic. The bedside manner and follow up was excellent and pricing quite reasonable.

I'm still going to fill out the help form. But my chameleon was starting to do better so I didn't take her to the vet. But I just woke up and saw her laying in the same spot as yesterday. She let me pick her up without even fighting. Based on these pictures can anyone tell me what she might have. I'm guessing mbd

She has not later any eggs and I don't feel any in her either. I'm guessing mbd and constipation? She hasn't eaten in 4 days almost too weak to climb to her basking spot

Her legs don't look like they have severe MBD to me, I think your problem is much bigger. She does not look well at all. Also, you won't necessarily be able to feel if there are eggs in her. Please leave that to the professionals and, most importantly, take her to the vet immediately. I'm afraid her life depends on it.
