Music and Chameleons

Is it okay to have music in the same room as my chameleon?
As long as volume level is moderate.
Any preferences?
I listen to jazz

Chams have no external ear, but they do have an inner ear, so their
frequency rang is quite limited to low frequency vibrations.

I would think music of any kind would not bother them as long as the bass
was not too high.

I agree with Psychobunny. Your chameleon probably won't notice the music at all, especially if it's jazz. I play the tenor saxophone and make sure to do so away from my chameleon, but that's because it is much louder in person and I do have some pretty low notes. I worry that the vibrations might bother him, but my husband has confirmed that when I practice, he shows no sign of noticing it. :)

jazz is fine, studies show that chameleons also like ska and rocksteady, especially the early stuff. not too big on rock and hiphop tho :)

jokes apart, music is ok as long as the volume it's not too high and doesn't shake the branches in the cage. strong vibrations upset them so keep your bass down. also, if you play drums don't do it in the same room where you keep your cham (dr.obvious was here) :)

Good to know! Ha ha, I do play the drums. But the kit will be set up 3 floors below.

Ill see how he takes to early Coltrane, then move on to some Herbie. Been really into Glasper lately though. Black Radio anyone?
