Hey guys! Just wanted to show the progression of my 5 month old panther chameleon, I have added more vines and plants in his cage after this photo yesterday, so his cage doesn't look like this anymore all bare and empty lol! He's a red bar ambilobe, also trust me in one of his pictures he was yawning, not gaping his mouth and hissing at me:p Anyways here's his progression.

Does he display any other colors yet besides the browns and reds yet? I'm curious around what age they start changing more colors :)

You guyssss I'm so jealous. My Thor is a wee baby (maybe an inch now from nose to base of tail) and only does Tans and patterns of browns, with a little red under his throat if I accidentally mist him, he's such a grouch (I don't ever aim for him but if even a little mist touches him, he retreats and shows a tiny little red throat haha)

I love seeing him this tiny cuz he's cute, but I can't wait to see him change to some brighter colors hopefully

Awhhh!!! So tiny! Trust me lol, in their younger ages they will be those bland tan and brown colors lol. With tiny hints of color. Reaching 5-6 months is when they really develop more of those vibrant colors! He will be a handsome boy, is he an ambilobe?

I honestly have no clue. I'm such a newb to Chameleons. I had been doing so much research on chameleon setups, and pros and cons to the various types of chameleons (Veiled, Panthers, Pygmys, etc), that I didn't know there was branches of Panthers until I joined this forum after buying little Thor (AKA El Chamino)

So I honestly have no idea. I got him at the Wasatch Reptile Expo in Utah from a breeder but I didn't even have an idea of the different types of Panthers. I did get to see the Sire, the body was Green and Yellow with his legs being bright red, and a bright blue/turquoise tail. He had a whiter - creamier looking blue bar, like a pastel blue, through the middle of his sides running horizontally.

I guess that might not be very helpful in distinguishing him haha

Hmmm lol, well as long as his sire have those beautiful colors Thor will have some resemblance to him! That's awesome though, I'm also going to an expo might pick up a female for breeding in the future possibly :D
