My baby Veileds

Iv had my two baby Veileds for 2 weeks now (Bert and Esme) lol personality wise they could not be any more different lol .

Esme is really shy and will hang back in her Viv , shes slowly getting better at feeding time and will 5 times out of ten slowly come and take afew crickets from the plastic cup im using to feed her with, she would rather i was not there to be fair lol but never hisses or tried to bite me either.

My male on the other hand Bert seems to love when i walk into the room lol . Soon as i open the door of his Viv he will make his way to me , i don't even need to bribe him with food now for him to walk onto my hand, he is more than happy to take food from my hand when it is feeding time. I really do feel iv got lucky with him as hes only 14 weeks old and was 12 week old when i got him (both the same age)

In some ways i wish Esme was the same but saying that it will be fun seeing how well i can get her to progress , even if she doesn't iv fallen for then both.

Last thing , witch are best for them , Locus or crickets ? i have both at the min but witch is better for them ? :D

Great to hear Just feed them both crickets Medium or large depending on there size. Locust are ok too but the smaller ones can have harder time grabbing them. I too just baught a new veiled and he's very hissy if you have any tips on hand feeding or taming them both please let me know. Thanks

Brandon :)

i just started by feeding him from a plastic cup wit crickets , then id start to move the cup so he would have to step onto my hand to get to them to witch he seemed to do right away, first time i hand fed him was right after he hand eatten a few crickets from the cup , that way he was already in eatting mode so to speak lol. he zapped it more or less right away. The hard part was picking up the medium small cricket with my fat fingers without crushing it lol.

My Female i just have to make sure she sees me with the cup before i try moving it towards her, i move in really slowly and i don't know if this helps or if i just sound like an idiot but i talk to her in soft tones lol i have no idea if it settles her but shes slowly getting better at feeding time..

Sorry im not much help buddy :)
