My bradypodions

Here is a link for one of the HID brands. There is also 4 other manufactures at the moment, but raptors are the best.

I live in Finland, so the night drop is not a problem for me ;)

If you host your photos off site on say photobucket or imageshack you can post to your hearts content.

I keep my tranvaalesne in individual cages that are 46cm 46cm 91cm and the female is getting very nasty tempered. But they are 6 months old so it is too late to put them together or they will breed now.:(

Laurie, I wouldnt be upset if I had a nasty tempered Brady! that is usually a very good sign. She is very bold and in great health. I wouldnt try breeding them until the females are almost the the size of a female lateralis.

Yes that is normal, that females get very aggressive when kept single. It is nothing to be worried about, only when you start breeding attempts.
Females can be like torpedoes after the male, if they are not receptive and believe me.. it is very baad for the male.
This is why i now keep them in pairs, females really can take care of them selves and say no, if they don't want to breed.

So the winter is coming here and all are inside :)

Setaroi babies born a month ago..

Hi Julie :)
Do you only use these lights or in combination with others? Also what do you put the bulb into? And last question! What voltage do you have in Finland? Here we have 110-240V

Its JULLE.. some moderator could change my nick as my name -> Juha.
There is too much mistakes..

I only use one 50w HID for one cage (40x40x76 and 46x46x92), nothing more.
I use standard E27 socket for the bulb and 50w ballast to operate it.
We have 230-240v, but i think you can use HID ballasts in both 110v and 240v.
