Hello, I'm unsure If I'm posting this in the right bit I'm
A little confused where I need to post my questions. My
Veiled is 8 months she is loving and always wants human
Attention anyway but for the last week she has stopped eating
Her behaviour is as usual and colouring has not changed. Im
A bit worried, she is drinking loads and as soon as I put my hand
In her cage she tries to come out, but all the time quite a bit more
Than usual. Does any1 have ideas why she has gone off her food?
Sorry If I posted this on the wrong part of the forum just looking
For help x

The only time she ever stops eating
Is before shedding but its been just
Over a week so thought she would of
She'd by now. She has not yet layed
But I thought this may be the problem
So I put a laying bin in there (but with
A soil the reptile store recommended
Rather than sand) but she don't show
Any other sign of want to lay, (not
Anything I have looked up) x

Carmen is a veiled chameleon she is eight months and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old (roughly) she has not yet laid and clutches. I handle her almost every day unless she is decided that not what she wants. She eats large locust between 4-6 daily although dosent always take when offered. Locusts are dusted with calcium recommended by the reptile store daily. I mist her using a spray bottle between 2-3 times a day she happily drinks off walls I front of me she isn't very shy. Her viv is 587mm 4ft high and 2ft deep although it is a viv with glass and oak it has 6 large vents and is made for chameleon use, but as a extra I open her doors when I am here to further increase air flow. All lighting is exo terra recommended again by the store I go to her lowest temp daily is 75 and highest is 80 during night an during the day the lowest of the cage is 86 to 90. I use water cress carrot dandilion leaves and lettuce to gut load and she often enjoys eating veg herself. Heatin is on thermostat and light comes on at 8am ad off at 8pm this is on a timer. No live plants are being used. She is in the spare room next to the living room which can be busy but she get her privacy! Hope this is enough info x

Oh I missed she has a wax worm 2-3 times a week (when she stops eating I do tend to offer her about three ) mealworms at the bottom of her cage she tends to pick and choose these(usually about 5 a week) I have offered her crickets but she eats em the first couple of days then refuses them
