My cham always opening his mouth

After few times of revisiting the vet, and special observation. My Cham dehydrated problem has been solved, I've bought a humidifier and keep switching on for 24hours, so it keep the humidity for around 88-90%, a dripper has added on and a rainner has been set to once per 3hours for 60secs.

At night, air conditioner + Ceramic heater to keep the cage around 26C, may take if off after he is 100% overcome.

One good news is he stared eating himself again since 4days ago, at this moment, he still having 1 cricket each day. I hope he will eat more later.

Hi, you keep your humidity levels at 80-90% ? Why are you using a humidifier and is that preferred over misting? Is his cage ever dry? What local, again?

Hi Paigesc, I'm in Hong Kong, the vet ask me to rise up the temp & humidity until the cham getting well. and it was dehydrated before. and a humidifier is a must for it at night cause I'm using air conditioning and the humidity will drop down to 4X%. Don't worry, all humidity and temp will back to normal after it is fine.

Cheers :)

maybe, but he said there was ALOT of saliva which is indicative of a URI

Yes, it was URI and Dehydrated. And he may on the track now. One thing I'm not sure, there's no more saliva in it's mouth, but I heard a little pop sound again from his mouth. It didn't rise up his head during sleeping already and most of it's habbits also backing to normal. Should I get him back to the vet again for the antibiotic? I'm just worry that too much antibiotic will be harmful to a cham.

Cheers

rancid, I'm so glad he's doing better. I think I'd give the antibiotics a few days to take full effect before bringing him back to the vet. It's good that you are paying attention! Keep doing that.
