My cham hates me now

i read a comment of yours in another thread.. maybe you should take him out of that new red room you moved him to. alot of ppl here have been saying that the color red pretty much pisses their chameleon off.. in my case, mine wont eat out of a red cup.. he wont even come close.

yeah i was thinking i might try moving him temporarily to a different room. His misting system comes from a water hose through that room, but I will just manually mist him for now to see how well he does in a different environment.

the only good thing about the room is that it's a crimson red as I am an Alabama fan and I use it as my man cave, so it's not terribly bright. We'll see though

He has taken a cricket from my hand but it's really hard to hand feed him those b/c he doesn't like to strike unless he sees them moving, so I have to let them crawl on my hand and they usually jump off before he calms down enough to nab them.

I have a four month panther cham from screameleons and he is not afraid of hand feeding. But I used to have the same problems of crickets not moving. So I just hold one of the back two legs and he responds well to it.

Well i've tried that but they still don't wiggle enough that way to his liking

When I first got my chameleon, he hated me... I couldn't get near the cage to even mist without him wanting to rip me to shreds! I just ignored him for a while, let him grow a bit, and eventually started to handle him. Give him time and he will get to know you are only there to care for him! Ours loves us now, and wants to come out to hang around!
