my cham is keeping one eye closed!?

Also that seems like alot of heat lights to me, the basking spot should be about 85-90 and the branch no closer then 6 inches from the light. Do you have pics of the set up?

Get a 5 not 10

To much output on the ten and that might be why but it might lead to other problems. Also iv never had that problem with a cham but I had a Bby beardie that had an eye that wouldnt open just used regular eye drops almost instantly cured :)

well, who told you to use the 10.0, I am curious? The size cage you are using....everyone uses the 5.0 with no issues. you can do what you want but I am just letting you know. Your basking temp is important. If your room is that cold and a 100 watt gives you a basking temp of about 85 or a little higher then it is ok. If not, then the 100 is too much. You can adjust your basking branch up or down to regulate the temp. You should not have any light on your cage at night at all. You can have heat if your are worried about the temps, but no light. Chams like it dark. My chameleon will not close his eyes until it is dark in the room. i have to cover his cage at night as his cage is right by my computer. He will stay awake all night if the lights are on.

Zoomed recomends 10.0 if you use a screen cage becuse the screen filters out the uv. I have used 10.0s for the last 2 years in my walk in room and all my cages and on my babys with no problems. i also have a UV meter that i use to make sure. The sun is a lot stonger than a bulb.

well, I am just going by what the majority of people use on here. Whenever someone new comes along and wants to know what type of UVB to use it is always the Reptisun 5.0 so I am just going along with the general consensus of the forum. I know that UVB cannot pass through plastic and glass but was not aware that it was effected by screen. I guess alot of people are depriving their chams of UVB and didn't know it then.

yeah

I have never heard it being filtered by screen but if you have a meter than I guess it must first time I have heard that.
