My chameleon seems to like hitting glass?

originally, I just thought he was trying to get out, he would get up on his hind legs and just kind of attack the terrarium, but I kind of stopped believing that when he was on the windowsill of an open window and he walked over to the closed part and started hitting it. Oh, when he exhibits this behavior I take him out of the terrarium or pull him away from the window, to sit on my head (which causes him to relax)

He is quite possibly seeing his own reflection in the glass and trying to attack 'himself'. Try a screened cage.

I've been meaning to get one anyways, thanks for the advice, and should I keep him away from the windows as well?

In glass enclosures is better to set them far away from windows... This is because like in a car, temperatures will get much higher inside the terrarium than the outside air temp...

I've got you now... Like jdog1027 said, might be the reflection... Maybe getting him outside will be better, weather permitting...

Might be the reflection, might be partly that he wants to get out and explore......either way, if everything else is ok a large mesh cage should sort him out
