My chameleon is almost 6 months old.
He is a blue bar ambilobe panther chameleon.
His lighting is 50 watts and im going to get 65 watts soon so it will be perfect.

He seems to be very unactive. is he close to shedding? is he uncomfortable? he gets plenty of calcium with d3. and i dust about 1/4 of his crickets with multivitamin supplement every few weeks. He seems to be having his mouth open for about ten seconds before closing it. He doesn't cough or sound like hes having respiratory problems. I'm extremely anal about not cleaning my room with chemicals so he stays safe. He has fluorescent UVB light on the top of his cage. I check for on him a lot and i mist his cage often. Any ideas?

You need to dust with d3 twice a month, and dust with no d3 calcium about every feeding. How old?

I would get the higher wattage bulb pretty soon. They sleep more and are more lethargic when their body heat isn't as high. It's weird that he is gaping his mouth open because usually that means they are too hot and trying to cool down. So I'm not sure about that. Pictures would help though!
