My Chinese Mantises Hatched!

Hey everyone. Well today was exciting. I don't know if its the Tropical Storm Boca is in right now that stimulated them to hatch(i bet not) but we have baby mantis. They are so cute LOL. I moved them into a bigger contianer as they started hatching so the rest of the babies that didn't hatch yet can easily get out and it guess it worked lol. Look at all of them. In the morning i checked and there was nothing. 2-3 hours later KABOOM they are all over the place They are now in one of the butterfly cages. I will take a video later of the babies eating them Enjoy. Thanks Steve

Thanks everyone. I think i have about 70 now and i still have one ooth that didnt hatch yet and one that is hatching now

are mantises hard to keep? i want to get a couple ooths and found the chinese mantis ooths to be very inexpensive? what do you keep them in to keep them alive and also feed them? just fruit?

I keep them in a butterfly cage and soon will start to feed them flies. I dont think they eat fruit

They can even eat each other. I think they will eat any big that comes in their way lol

haha I bet! jeeze! I am getting mine from MantisPlace.com since they are so cheap and little fish bowls with a lid that has holes on it with a plant works fine so it seems
