My first reptile ends up a chameleon

Yeah, thanks. I have been looking at the ones people have posted here and that type seems efficient and cheap. Though those types of drawers don't longevity and tend to get wobbly over time. My plan right now is to build a frame for it to sit on. I have a friend that owns a green house and i am thinking of a couple small pothos plants and a ficus benjamin. But i dont know if ficus will be strong enough for when she is full grown.

Yeah, exactly. it works very well and is very sturdy. but im about to get a bigger cage bacause firnen is growing so fast and he is starting to become anxious in his current one. so i will probably put together a different drainage system.

I just ordered a 24x24x48 cage. I know its big for a juvenile cham but i dont feel like buying 3-4 cages as she grows. I plan on getting the cage all set up and only worry about cleaning it. It will be so big for her i probably wont be able to find her, lol.

SHe should be fine in there. If you notice she is not eating or able to find her food you can just raise up the PVC bottom and make it any heigh you choose really. Your doing a really good job, your Cham most defiantly won't die!! :p sounds like she found a good home feel free to ask any question that comes to mind

hay just wanted to say hi and welcome.... I have found that neither of my young veileds would eat worms until they were older.

About 4 or 5 moths they started like to try different foods, but this was just mine as you have been told each one is different you just have to find you connection and go with it. You may try some wax worms but just use them as treats not as a food. I will use them like a treat if they let me get them out then they get a few when I put them back in their cage. My Female will now eat them from my hand. My boy well he still has a boy complex. (no touchy, no touchy - ME) lol He will puff up and make himself as big as he can and hiss at me. he just so cute acting so big and bad, but then I show him the wax worms and he runs to me.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new addition. I was going to say the same thing about the worms. Mine used to puff up when he saw worms and now he loves them.
