My lil guy is coming in

That’s good it seems you’ve done your research I have a veiled named Goliath who is about 7-8 months. They are awesome creatures. I have 4 chameleons and I have a female Gracilior coming Friday morning I am exited for her arrival.

I have a feeling I will be there eventually lol. Yes all I do daily is read and read some more about Chams. I’m a stay at home dad with disabilities so I had plenty of time to read up on as much as I can. He will also get tons of care as well. Good luck with your new girl

I’m so excited to receive him tomorrow. The wife and I have decided to name him joker or Mr. J for short. He is going to be so loved and well taken care of. I don’t think I’m going to be able to sleep tonight because I’m so excited lol. I’ll takes pics and a video of the opening. Wish me luck guys
I look forward to seeing the photos of him.

Ok so a little update on Mr J. I was up nice and early waiting for him to come in and when the ups driver pulled up I got so excited. Then what happened next made me flip a switch and my heart stopped. I seen the driver with the box tossing the box back and forth between his two hands, once he stepped off the truck the box was upside down. I yelled at him saying please stop there is a live animal in that box and please gently flip it the right side up and I will be right down to sign for the box. He yells back up to me( already halfway down my stairs) no need and tosses the box on the porch. I scream at him really loud say some very nasty words and also telling him I need to sign for the box or my warranty won’t be valid for my live animal that you probably just killed. But he sped off in his truck before I could reach him. Today has been very stress full for me and Mr J. So I opened up the box really gently to see him black and really scared. I opened the container to let him breathe better and he wouldn’t move. So I put him in his enclosure( still in container) on top of some foliage. He stayed In the container for another 45min to a hour. But once he came out I turned on the mister for a good 5min and he drank for that full 5min. I then put in 4 baby Dubai’s and he ate two right away. He is doing a lot better sense he has been in his home. I will post opening video and pics in a little bit just had to rant a little bit

The first pic is of him after he just came out of the cup and the second was taken just 5min ago

Looks like your little guy is shedding already. He is a sweetheart. I would file a complaint against the driver that delivered. They need to know how there employee cares for goods while on the clock unsupervised. I am fuming about it myself.

Oh i did. I called right after I place him in his home. The crazy thing too is they acted like he didn’t do anything wrong smh

I had a similar experience with my veiled Goliath the ups driver turned the box on the side even though it says live animal on the side and the top. I told him and he looked annoyed and practically threw it at me. I was so mad and I should have kept calm but I called him a few choice words as well. I called and reported him and got the same response.

Why is he bathed in pink light in all your pictures? You should only be using white light-producing bulbs for him.

I love my baby Veileds as much as my adults (parents) they all have unique personalities too - he should be fine, still a pretty unsettling experience, you handled it better than I would have.
