I was going by his colors already but real a matter of opinion. He looks happy from what I can see though. What's his name?

I decided to name him Gus.

Congrats, he's looking awesome - I reckon he's probably a little older too, just from his colours being that developed already. He could just be very mature for his age though (if you got him from a reputable breeder).

I got Guss from Chameleons Northwest and on their site they said it was 3.5 months old but I also think he is a little older just because it has said that on their site for a couple of weeks.

I bought him from Chameleons Northwest a site sponsor they have great prices. Does anyone know if too high temps can cause a chameleon to close its eyes for a few seconds.

Too intense light certainly can, so I would say yes.
