hi guys the wait is finally over, he came in today, he checked out most of the enclosure but he still hasn’t eaten yet as far as I know but I have read that’s pretty normal also he gets dark when he starts to bask. Lol I hope that’s normal too. I read loads on the enclosure and how to make it perfect as possible, but still have questions

Also I need help picking out a name

He looks great! Thats perfectly normal. Mine was almost black for almost two weeks after i got him. And he would only eat when nobody was around. Now hes a healthy color and heats anything and everything in sight. lol but your handsome man is just getting use to everything

They darken while basking to better absorb heat. If you could see his other side it would be normal colors.

Thanks guys ! Yesterday I tried to give him a superworm he was sooo scared he ran for the hills I tried not to laugh but it was super cute. I very quickly removed the offending worm lol
