My new big boy Shamous!! I need help with ageing him!

Me and my boyfriend got him at jacks aquarium last night. He was in a TINY TINY so called cage and he was clawing to try and get out. I felt so bad for him. My boyfriends been wanting one of his own because of my two babies Ducky and Petrie(so addicting!!) So he bought Shamous who was marked down from $100 to $70 because he was getting big. But anyways, the lady who works there said he was probably 5 or 6 months old. But I kind of though this to be hard to believe because my ducky is 5 months old and she isnt near his sixe yet.. So I thought id pose a picture of me holding him to see if you guys can guess how old he could be? He's suck a sweetie! Im glad we got him

Thats about the size by veiled is and he is about 9mo old or so I was told by the girl I bought him from. My guess to your guys age would be about 9mo-11mo or so. Good luck with him and he is a beaut!

Males will grow faster and larger than females so I would say he is around 6 months like you were originally told.

Well, I made it broad because I've seen some small looking 9 month olds, but my boy is 5-5.5 months and he's about that size... There isn't really a way to tell, but it doesn't look like he's done growing.

He's such a near guy. He had beautiful stress colors too. Ill try to get a picture later to show them off . Such bright yellow and blue.
