picked up 3 pygmys today- they were too cute to refuse. The little guy in the second pic played dead, poor lil guy would have been more convincing if he didn't keep opening an eye to see if I'd gone yet! The guy in the pet shop warned me this was his fave trick- otherwise I would have been worried.

I'm hoping they'll settle in quickly & I've got some yummy food for them. I'm going to leave them alone as much as possible & just enjoy watching their cuteness

man your so lucky ive been looking for a trio of these guys! Can you post picks of your setup? i like seeing pygmy set-ups

this is my first attempt at a set-up. They have exo-terra tropical substrate, a live ficus & tongue fern, 1 fake plant & some vines. They also have a fogger- I'm gonna see it works for them.

nice! :D:D

i was afraid to get a group. i picked up a male spectrum last week. as he seems to get more at ease he is starting to display a lil color. hopefully he will pick up more this week and i'll add some pics to my album.

Wow, did that little guy just flop over in your hand and play dead??
That's so funny, esp since his eye is open :D

How tricky are they to handle? I have heard they should never be handled
because they stress out so much!!

He closed his eyes & fell off the branch when I put my hand near him. He puffed up too. This is after I caught him & he's looking to see if the danger's gone lol

They're not really supposed to be handled at all. These pics were taken as I was transferring them to the enclosure. They seem to have settle though

They are adorable! I've started liking the looks of the pygmies - I just love how they are impossibly proportioned - tiny little legs and feet, and a fat belly, with a stumpy little tail!
