After many, many ideas on how and what materials to build enclosures out of, this is what we decided on. PVC and screens. The plastic is strong, water proof of course and UV safe/resistant. This is the same plastic that all the known PVC cage builders are using. There are lots of pictures and many details. I will also be adding to this thread the other enclosures we build. I know there are going to be plenty of questions about these, so I thought it would be best to have my own thread instead of adding it to the "Official Enclosure Thread." Although, if admins don't feel that I'm doubling up with posting, I will add a couple nice pics to that thread.
This first enclosure is 6'L x 2'D x 3'T. So each cage is 2' x 2' x 3'. Only problem was it wouldn't fit down my stairs to the basement. Ended up cutting one cage off, added another side, and then screwing them back together once they were in the basement.
This project isn't easy and for the faint of heart. So many tools involved such as table saw with plywood table, chop saw and routers, and clamps(which we have spent at least $500 on, and could still use a bunch more clamps - sheesh!).
I am super happy and so are my Chams
No more spending a half hour or more going in circles hand misting everyone, although now I'm bored in the evenings haha.
