My New Gracilior Baby!!! Too Excited!!!

Thank you. I just love to look at him--he is so really pretty. And he has a really nice temperament, unlike the little pit bull I also brought to show you. The one thing I've noticed is that most of the quads will not ever gape or bite--even the bigger wild caughts--when I am torturing them with medications or even when the vet lanced an abscess with no anesthetic. Most, that is. ;)

Yes, they're pretty rare but not because they are difficult to keep or breed. I believe they are also pretty rare in Europe.

They haven't been imported into the US for about 5 years before the two imports December 2014 and February 2015. The importer told me he thought a total of about 50 came in between those two shipments, but I think a lot died from the first shipment. I know at least one was mistakenly sold as a quad (T. q. quadricornis), and he'll be soon on his way to Texas! :D:D:D:D:D

As far as I know, Gene Cash and I are the only ones with adult breeding pairs and I might be the only one that is producing babies although I heard of a clutch that was hatching in September but haven't heard anything more. There must be more people out there but they sure haven't made their presence known.

Bottom line, if you want a gracilior, you should not put it off if any become available.

Instead of getting into T. quadricornis quadricornis, we started talking about T. quadricornis gracilior. Janet has such a passion for this particular species. Eventually, it was decided that I should buy one of her Gracilior babies. So, to make a long story short, we met up yesterday and she brought me my new little Gracilior baby. I am over the moon with this little guy!

Thanks to Janet, @jajeanpierre, for bringing me such an awesome chameleon!! I really enjoyed talking with you yesterday....great fun!!!
