After being a reptile hobbyist for most of my life I finally took the plunge and got my first Cham. Everyone meet Lemmy he is about 5 month old and doing better then expected in his new home.

I handled him for a while at the breeders place. I brought him home yesterday and he's been in his enclosure since, I figured I'd give him a few days. He hand fed on a couple crickets and ate some that came close to him but he's really not hunting much yet. He seems to like his basking spot and he has slept in the same spot in the umbrella both nights.

Don't wait too long but also keep a eye out for too much stress when you handle him! Sounds like you are off to a happy relationship!

He gets a little nervous every when I go in the enclosure, he leaf walks and turns black and white.

It's always hard to get a good shot. They will change colours before you have a chance to even take the picture!

Wow. He is going to be a beauty. How many times did you visit him at the breeder's before bringing him home?

Only once,she is about an hour from us so it was hard to get down there. She was great and we got to meet all her breeding stock of Ambilobe,Leachies and cresties. Really nice operation and amazingly affordable!
