Are they friendly? I know nothing about themI don't have photos of the adults as this is my first time hatching them, got eggs from a local breeder and should have 2 hatch out. This is the ones progress by this morning, it's hatching 2 days early. Likely to be out by later today! 21 day incubation period. View attachment 242344
Adults look like this. View attachment 242345
Honestly they are pretty friendly, the rooster will peck or charge occasionally, but it's much less than a typical rooster. The rooster moreso is just doing his duties as a rooster and protecting his hen. The hen is an utter sweetheart though. Are they friendly? I know nothing about them
I presume it's recommeded to keep pairs but would just a pair of hens be adequate? Personally, I have no need to hear a cock crow at the break of dawn but that's just meHonestly they are pretty friendly, the rooster will peck or charge occasionally, but it's much less than a typical rooster. It's honestly not a requirement, just happened to have two eggs hatch and one was a hen and one was a rooster.I presume it's recommeded to keep pairs but would just a pair of hens be adequate? Personally, I have no need to hear a cock crow at the break of dawn but that's just me
