Hi.

My chameleon hasnt eaten a thing for a week. He's my first chameleon so im still learning how to look after him. He is mostly fed on locusts and now and again as a treat wax worms. He has not eaten for a week and turns his back on locust and now wax worms, he is drinking water and just shed his skin. His colours and general heath seem ok. Can anybody please give me some advice?

cheers.

How old is he? Sometimes they get bored of one sort of feeder and refuse it when before they loved it! Try offering him some crickets or Dubia roaches instead. You can also offer Morio worms (superworms in the US) if he is big enough to eat them. You can also buy silkworms, calci grubs and a couple of other roach species that he might like.

I've had him for about 4 months now. I dont give him wax worms all the time, maybe 3 or 4 every week because I herd that they become addicted to them. I have not tried him on crickets yet as I was told they will bite him. He drinks ok and looks heathly nothing wrong with his mouth. His poo is white but it usualy is moist and brown and I did see him have a poo the other day. When I feed him I dont leave them in overnight, probs for a few hours and then take them out. To me is only seems he's been like this since the start of winter. His viv temp is around 33 to 35c and he's basking fine.
