Name my Locale...

Here are pictures of a panther I bought as an Ambanja Female. Today I caught him bobbing at a smaller female, so it's obvious it's a HE.

I'm angry and happy all at the same time. What locale would you say He is?

Its a male with the thicker base at the tail but it is most likely a mutt.
My first thought was Ankaramy however.
Who did you get it from?

It's actually from the largest breeder here in Ontario and possibly Canada... Connie Dorval... That's why I'm very surprised.

Maroanstetra? Sambave? Tamatave?

I also think it's Maroantsetra/Tamatave. I know she breeds Maroantsetras but it doesn't look like the other Maro's I've gotten from her.

Hello Chameleontario,
I would have to say that the male you have pictured is a Tamatave cross of some sort. Give the breeder a call it could just be an honest mistake. When your a big breeder things can get moved around to the wrong cages especially when employees are possible involved. Good Luck with that one.

Bigger doesn't mean better.
Sometimes the bigger guys have more mix ups.
This isn't a knock on the person you bought it from.I don't know them.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I appreciate it. I think I'll give her a call and see what she says. Either way, it's a nice looking chameleon but won't be a breeder.

Hey Chameleontario, Nice male by the way. I am not as experienced at this as most of you are, but I know you mentioned something about Connie Dorval. Does she have a website? I am from ontario as well and have been looking for something specific. I have had a hard time finding a breeder of Maroantsetras in ontario. Could you send me a link?
