Hello everyone... I am new to this Forum, I have been following and reading you! I am french, so sorry if my english isn't to good! I acquired some babies Ambanja a while ago. I am use with babies ambilobes but Babies Ambanja are new to me. Sexing them is quite a challenge... I bought them when they were around 7 weeks old. They were in bad shape, dyhadrated and not fed properly... Now, They have bellys and are doing great! But since they are older, need advice on sexing them. Colors, obviously is confusing me expect for one (sure it's a male, no doubt). So advice would be more than welcomed. BTW, not sure if they are green or blue. The ''guy'' sais blue but don't trust him. They come from a WC female who died after laying her eggs. He said that all male coming from that shipment were blue Ambanja,,, Well Thanks in advance!Obvioulsly, the one on the forth picture started shedding today!!!! The third one is confusing me the most... The first one looks like a female to me and the last one to. Let me know if you need more pictures! I didn't post the one of the male that I am sure of!!!!!

you sex ambanjas like you would ambilobes by the tail base checking for the hemipenal bulge. A panther is a panther. You can not tell with colors at that young of age. It can be quite deceiving. I agree with the first being female and the third one I think it is a male. The other thre I have to go back and study.

Thank you... I know about the buldge, but since they are older, I wanted second opinions.... I always like to confirm with colors, even if it takes longer... Do you need more pictures? Thank you so much for anserwing me!

no I think your pictures are good. The second one is a little dark though. I think the last pic is female also. I am by no means an expert in sexing but have seen so many. If you would have posted this thread in the general discussion you would get more hits. I think chameleon id is for figuring out what species you have. I have seen tons of threads about sexing chameleons in the general discussion forum and it gets put right at the top of the list for everyone to see. You could pm Laurie, Hoj, olimpia(some of the moderators) and ask them to move the thread or start a new one. If you start a new one, title it "help with sexing panthers" and you will get alot more help. I am on the fence about the other two as to their gender. There are members who are much better than me at sexing.

I just took more pictures. The first tree, cham num. 1 (my guess male), than 1 pictures of cham num. 2 (?) and one of cham num. 3 (my guess female)

first pic too bright. second and third male. Third and fourth female. JMO Most people are not seeing this thread and that is why you are not getting a response and there are people who do not want to respond for fear of being wrong. I am fairly confident on the second two pics as I am seeing a slight bulge. to pm someone you go to community then members list and find the name you are looking for(they are alphabetical) then you click on the name and it will say send message.

My opinion would be f-f-m-m-f
