hi everyone im planning on building a 4ft by 2ft by 2ft viv to house an adult male yemen cham
I was looking to making a wooden one with a mesh door for ventelation but have read up on that, and people have said that it will not acomidate the ventilation needed for yemen chams. So i also thought of building a viv that has 2 sides wood and 2 sides mesh but i just want to know what you UK people think and would be grateful to hear some of your ideas

thanks

Luke,

Hi..i am in the uk also!i have a glass viv as i thought it was the best option/only option for me as our weather is shite!:D i think (or i may be mistaken!) that someone on here in the UK is building a mesh vivarium (feel free to correct me!) and is posting their progress as they go along........good luck:D

If you were worried about ventilation you could either put vents in it in places or you could purchase one of the smaller computer fans and mount build it into the cage while you are making it. I am not from the UK, but that's how I have seen a few vivs from there built.

Re

yeah thanks guys i think im going to go for a 2sided mesh and to sided wood for now because i dont really have the money to buy fans and all that :D

I am looking to get my first set up and have also done a lot of research and a very very high percentage of viv's I have seen for sale over here in the uk are all wood apart from the glass sliding door. Is this going to be a problem with ref, to ventilation? I ask because all the places I have been into have never mentioned fans ect.

If you check flea bay you can get 2x2x4 reptibreeze for £99.99. You can also get twin wall plastic 4mm thick to cover some sided to help with humidity
