Need help veiled chameleon will not move it's been 5 days.

The small casque tells me shes a gemale and she maybe cold if shes notmoving from that spot. Also you need to have her on a 12 hour schedule. Sun up to sun down with no lights or heat devices at night just make sure room temp does not go below 50. The uvb dome doesnt work! Its got to go. I wish oeopkecould start sueing these comoanies to make priper changes. I am thankful you found thus site as you will get good info on caring for your girl. since she is a girl, you need to set up a lay bin as chams are like chickens they dont need to mate to lay eggs. get a container fill 50% play sand 50% soil and make it at least 10 inches deep. Niw my girl laid her eggs right in the floor behind a plant and next to the lay bin. I spoje with a breeder who tild me that some girls think thats the forest floor and wont use a laybin. So i made an 18x18x14 container put 4 inches of rocks in the bottom then 3 inches of good organic soil then planted a swiss cheese plant and a pathos then filled the atea around the plants wirh soil then the filled the rest with the 50/50 mix and removed the floor of the cage, drilled holes and bolted it to the base i made then tape it around to keep the crickets in and perect! It works like a charm and was cheaper then buying a 2x2x4 cage and it now is about that height anyway! She lOves hunting on the bottom now too!
If she is 6-9 months she van lay eggs!
i hope this guy takes out advice! Chameleons are expensive...

@Isaiahht For basics you’ll need to get a 2x2x4’ enclosure, a linear T5 ho uvb light with either ReptiSun 5.0 or Arcadia 6% and correct supplements plus some safe live plants.
This is a nice budget friendly enclosure and is currently at a good price. https://www.diycages.com/collection...ducts/sc4-48x24x24-jumbo-vertical-screen-cage
If you want and can afford a nice system for hanging branches and plants, these are awesome. https://dragonstrand.com/dragon-ledges/
It’s been difficult lately to find lights as most places get sold out fast. Here’s one though. It’s the T5 fixture and comes with your first 5.0 uvb bulb. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CX5HXI2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Calcium without D3 to be used lightly dusted on every feeding. https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Rept...id=1670732507&sprefix=Reptical,aps,106&sr=8-5
Reptivite with D3 to be used at one feeding every other week. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00167S5GM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I and many others get our plants from places like Lowes and Home Depot. Pothos is always a chameleon keepers best friend. Here’s some info on safe plants. https://chameleonacademy.com/plants/ Replace the fake with only safe live ones that have been gently washed and rinsed very well. Repotting is also a good idea as many plants have chemical fertilizers and/or pesticides. Some plants will need an additional plant light. I like Sansi grow lights, some of which are on sale. https://www.sansiled.com/pages/deals
Last but not least, your sweet lady needs a lay bin to be a permanent part of her enclosure. I use these filled to about 6” deep with washed play sand kept moist enough to hold a tunnel without collapse. To prevent it from becoming a muddy mess, I drill several tiny drainage holes in the bottom.

I haven’t kept a tally of costs, but if any remaining funds, put them aside for a rainy day emergency vet visit.

Duh! If you don’t already have thermometers and hygrometers, you’ll want to get a couple. The digital ones with probe end are pretty good.
I’d like to see more pics of your girl, prefer whole body view.

Repashy supercal NoD for every feeding and Repashy calcium plus LoD 2x a month is what I and a few other people like @Beman use

@Beman is right! there are people who can give more help! but when it comes down to the husbandry its pretty universal what to recommend.

Hello. Would love an update. How is your girl doing? Is she back to her old self? Did you take her to a vet or update her cage? Or both? Hope all is well, please share.
