well, as if watching him " get muddy" in his hyper mud truck did not frazzle my nerves, Austin entered his first demolition derby - it was all I could do to watch  but he made it to the final heat, and took 5th- I think that is great for his first time ever- and these boys don't play nice - they hit HARD - $2,000 first place - I can see why ~ the car still runs, so now he tells me, " its not dead yet, we are going to enter Sandusky Co. in 2 weeks "
wish me and my nerves luck :p

Fun! You must be an awesome (and oddly proud) mother!

Worst case scenario... you can always put "He had an awesome mom!" on his headstone :)

 oh geese :p ^^^^^^

its really pretty safe- ( right  ) and I could not be more proud- he was a total gentleman even tho some of the guys were ready to get DQ'ed for driver door hitting - they all shook hands in the end - hes 18, so he has waited to do this for a long time- as hard as I tried, there was not stopping time- I kept telling him in yrs past- " sorry, you have to be 18" - then he was  :p

wow he did pretty good! His front end looks untouched :) Car has lots of life left...just what you wanted to hear right?

LOL - yeah- but the next one is FULL WELD  higher purse too - I am scared :p I told him to rethink this....he did...for 1 min/  they are already welding on it - its an old Lincon town car - full frame - he did some really hard hits w/ the rear- broke his seat - lol - but even the rear is still very strong- the hood never even budged - it will be.....interesting - why must he be so much like his Daddy ??? :p I told Dave, I may not go to this one

You are going! He needs your support, no wimping out! Thing on the bright side, would you rather he is out driving up and down the streets drunk? Lots of people do, this is a much better outlet. You Go Austin.:):):):)

Aww, this brings back memories! My dad used to do those every Friday night when I was a little girl. I could never find which car was his, so he started spray-painting my name on the roof of his cars so I could find him :D
