Need some advice for care

Hello my chameleon has recently been diagnosed with uri. The vet gave me medication for treatment and I just have some questions on if I should change anything about its care/enclosure while it’s recovering. I was told to no longer use my fogger for at least a week or two as inhalants can worsen my chams condition. They also said I need to force feed her as she has not been wanting to eat, does any one have any tips for that because it’s pretty difficult since she’s 4 months old and pretty small. Any tips or advice to help her recover are greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome. Sorry that your little one isn’t doing well. The biggest risk factors for uri are high heat and high humidity. Foggers should only be used at night and if your temps are below at least 68-70. It would be best to go thru all of your husbandry to make certain that you’ve got everything as close to perfect as possible. There’s so much bad info out there about keeping chameleons and far too many fall victim to it…especially our beautiful little girl veileds. 😟 If you could answer the following questions and be sure to include pics of your cutie and her enclosure, we could get started. Regarding force feeding, how long has it been since she’s eaten anything? Did the vet give you any formula or any instructions at all? Is her medicine oral or injection? If oral, you want to make sure to aim for the back of the throat…her airway is in the front of her mouth. See the pic below - red is no go - airway. Blue is good.
