Does anybody have any ideas on what to use for lining the inside of a screen cage? My cold blooded room mate likes to crawl all of the screen and it has started to shave down his nails to the point where he can't even do it anymore. I put some dowels on parts of it but there has to be something easier. I will have to redo his whole cage if I'm going to line it all in dowels.

Someone (Carol??) used the plastic fence netting to cover all of the walls. He could use the big spacing of the fencing as opposed to the screen. Hope you know what I'm saying...

Yeah I just looked it up and that looks pretty good actually. Ill just have to make sure and get one that isn't sharp at all. Thanks for posting!

There are some Chameleons which are natural screen climbers - unfortunately. But from my experience the more foliage and horizontal branches you have there, the less likely they climb the fence. And I mean really a lot of foliage. My plants fill up the cage volume about 70-80%. They hardly climb the screen the denser the vegetation is.

Yeah his cage is pretty packed and has tons of walkways. He just likes scaling the walls where he can.

Bamboo matting

I saw a picture on the web where the 3 walls inside were coverd in bamboo matting. At least your cham would be climbing on wood...

No max it wasn't me!!! I had the outdoor cage that I replaced the chicken wire with the green coated wire so it would not be rough on the cham's feet. I have seen though where people have used the flexible green netting that looks basically like green chicken wire and they attach that on the side of the screen so they climb on that instead of the actual screen.
