Need Urgent help with Chameleon

Why do you want calcium with D3 to give it daily?? D3 from supplements can build up in the system and lead to symptoms of MBD and damage the organs. Its better if most of the D3 comes from the chameleon's exposure to UVB IMHO.

No I am not going to give the D3 daily. You said to give it 2x month and I probably should start that now. So confirm with me Kinyonga this is what I am doing.
Calcium daily (Powder or liquid)
Vitamins and Phos and D3 2x a month?

Sound good

If the chameleon has MBD (and I can't be sure) he needs extra calcium until his calcium levels are back to normal and then regular supplementing with calcium at most feedings.

I jsut looked on line at MBD videos and pictures and his linbs are ok just not mobile. He looks healthy but just not active. He cant really lift his head up but his eys are opening more. When i pick him up to feed he can hardly grip me and the tip of his tail is pretty dark?

If its the early onset of MBD, his limbs wont be malformed. It sounds like MBD to me, but of couse, we cant be sure. Id say its a likely possibility, and the most prominent issue causing the downgrade of his health.

There is a reptile vet specialist at WSU? Should I take him there or shuld I try and do this myself. ITs a 1hr drive and 50.00 appointment. I dont care about the money but I also dont want to fight a loosing battle?

I would talk to them first and see if they have chameleon/MBD experience. It wouldnt hurt to take him in. But if they just give there "best guess" it could do more harm than good.

I agree with solid snake , cause in the condition hes in travelling might make it worse ... Get repta aid !! It made my cham more active after three days .. I posted a picture of it on my other comment , go try & find it tomorow , and see if that help him get some boost back

IMO, if you think a trip to the vet will help, I dont see it being an unwarranted risk. Definitely take him.

Update, I went ot the store that i baught Bo from today and they gave me some of the calcium with D3 and i will now use that 2x a month if he hangs on. I also baught some reptile Boost/ former name was retile-aid. I must say that this is a pain in the butt to figure how much to give him but I am working on it. Bo is still alive and seemed to be doing a litttle better until his last feeding when he seemed to not move at all. Now he is just sitting on the bottom of his cage with some of the boost coming out of his mouth but is still alive. Does anyone know if he is in pain?

Thank you for the update on Bo.
There is some debate on if they feel pain or not. But if they can, yes he is in pain. Theres not much you can do for the pain, just try to keep him comfortable, and get him healed up.
I dont have experience on how much of a dose he needs. Maybe someone else will.
Can you post any pictures of his current state?

I just uploaded these images a minute ago after I gave him same water. Thoughts???

Aww.
Does he try to move at all? How active are his eyes? I know you said you lowered the heat lamb closer to him, has he passed any of the food you have been feeding him?

He is moving his eyes a little bit. I did move the heat lamp to the front of the cage because it is to tall of a cage to get him some heat if I leave it on top. I have it about 8 inches from the front of the cage shining on him. He has moves a very little bit and every now and then he just moves the middle of his body. He has not passed any food at this point.

He doesnt need to be 85-90F all day long, but definitely make sure hes getting up to that temp after feeding(which should be done in the morning preferably) for an hour or so. Then just keep him at 75ish for most of the day. Give him warm basking sessions periodicaly as much as you can though.

I am so so sorry to say that "BO" just died. My son and I are so hurt and I tried everything that I could but I am not sure if it was in time or maybe to much in the last few days. I would like to thank all of you for your help and I wish I could have found you sooner. I have learned quit a bit about these interesting reptiles and I was so hoping he would pull out of it so that I could watch and grow with him but I guess it just was not ment to be. Thanks again for all your help and support and i wish you well with your awsome Chameleons.

I am so sorry Bo didnt make it.
That was pretty hard for me to hear.
We will be here to talk to if you ever decide to keep another chameleon.

Tonight I drink to Bo.

Im so sorry to hear about, Bo! I read this whole thread today and was hoping for the best. I was in a similar situation a month ago and my Cham died as well. It hurts really bad to lose them. They are amazing animals!
