really?! i would prefer a male so that might be the defining factor. how to tell for sure?not sure if anyone else noticed, but the cham kinda looks female to me

That's the Zoo Med kit, which is around $105 hipped free on Amazon. That UVB light is probably too old and needs to be replaced. It's also a compact fluorescent UVB, which is not as desirable, especially when you need a bigger cage. You need more plants and vines or branches along with something for misting. Throw the fountain in the trash. Also, that cage [16 x 16 x 30 inches] will not be big enough for an adult panther.

I will say this when you get a chameleon and all the things you need.... it is NOT a cheap hobby. You have vet visits and feeders and so much more.

hi again! so I am not getting the chameleon I posted about but I am still debating getting one. I know it's an investment. and I want to do things properly if I do decide to.
when I last had one I was in my late teens and I did the best I could but I want to make sure I have everything I need.
what do you guys think about those repti breeze cages, if i bought a bigger sized one? the guy I am eying I will attach a pic, he's from the local pet store. but maybe I should get one online if I do decide.
he goes for $450, which feels like a lot.
any thoughts/advice?

I have the reptibreeze extra large and my veiled likes it. They cham looks dark which could mean stress or if he was basking. Is he ambilobe? 450 sounds a lot to me, especially an ambilobe that are more common. If you like him though, then you decide if its worth the money! Love is priceless!
