Hello,
I set up my second enclosure yesterday and its identical to my other one (same cage size, same lights everything). I use 18" Reptisun 10.0 UVB. The new one that I set up in the same kind of fixture gives off a yellowish light. Looking at them side by side you can see the bulb that is in my first cage puts off a whiteish light. Should one of these be changed? The one on the left is 2 months old and the one on the right is brand new. I turned off my 6500k lights for a better pic.

It's hard to say if it need changes. I guess you would need to measure the output to really know. However, I also use 10.0s and have never had problems.

Hmmm, 2 months is still new, so they are both new!!
The color temps are different by quite a lot.
If you can afford it, get a Solormeter.
They do cost a lot, but worth it if you have more then one setup/cham.

Yep buying one is now back on my plate. I guess 2 months isn't new but its not very old and plan on changing every 6 months. Who was it that had the Solarmeters on sale here a month ago or so?

The new bulbs are bluer than the other ones.

I had the same thing, I had to replace a bulb, and it was so blue compared to my others.

Ok so it's a good thing I ordered the Solarmeter. I got it in and tested the brand new bulb in the new enclosure only putting out about .1 & the good bulb is measuring 1.5. I went ahead and ordered a new bulb and fixture just in case it's the ballast or something. Using a 5.0 spiral bulb that I had laying around as back up until new one comes in. It's putting out about 1.5 too so that should work in the short term. Thanks for the help ya'll
