New Baby Jackson Chameleon with strange red coloration?

Hey all.

I recently got a new Jackson chameleon and he appears to occasionally display streaks of redness throughout his entire body. I've never really read about a Jackson giving off this type of color and wanted to get another individual's opinion on it before I jumped to any conclusions or just assumed it was normal.

He appears happy and healthy, though I just got him within the week so I suppose it's hard to know for sure. I provided a picture below.

I have no idea, but just out of curiosity what type of Jackson's is he?

He is supposedly a Chamaeleo jacksonii xantholophus.

Or at least that's what the supplier says.

Very typical for that age.

Okay good. Just making sure it wasn't anything serious. Do you know if it is a sign of discomfort or comfort perhaps? Or just a common color small jackson's seem to give off?

I have found when the neonates reach about 2 months the get a reddish tone. This usually lasts until they are roughly 8 months give or take. Nothing to worry about. He actually looks really good.

Thanks for the quick responses, good to know it's a normal thing.

Yeah he does look super great, he's got a very bubbly and friendly demeanor. Which is quite different than my veiled's personalities. They've always been kind of skittish and aggressive a lot of the times as well to be honest.
