Luie is my new veiled chameleon, i was told he's about two months.

Thanks, he is very tiny. I hand feed him for now, and put crickets in a cup and put them in the cage and so far he has had no problems finding them!

Thank you! I have done tons of research, but I will read that as well because I want him to be as healthy as possible. Your Luie is so handsome! I love his colors..my guy is supposed to have some pretty intense yellow and turquoise colors when he gets older! I cant wait! Any idea how long it takes for this little guy to start getting a little bigger? He is sooo fragile!

Thank you for the nice compliment on my Luie. Your Luie will take off. Right now feed him all that he wants and if you can get him some small silkworms that will help him to grow. Silkworms are excellent to go along with the crickets.

I was looking for somewhere to order silkworms, but I haven't found anywhere. Do you know of a place that ships them in small batches? ( I dont want like 100, or 500 etc, I wanna start of with a smaller amount)

So far he has been eating 10+ crickets a day. I ordered some Calcium without D3 from LLL reptile since none of the petsores around here carry just regular calcium. Its Repcal. I also ordered the herpivite vitamin from them too. Those should arrive here hopefully next week. I have Calcium with D3 right now but I read to just give that to him twice monthly.

Are wax worms okay for him once he gets a little bigger? I read about Superworms eating through the stomach so i'm kind of worried about feeding him those.

I buy from Coastal Silkworms. http://coastalsilkworms.com/store/index.php?cPath=1_53

10 small crickets is not that many. Try giving him more. Most supplies that you need for chameleons you can't buy at a local pet store. I've never used wax worms but they should be fine as long as he's not overweight. I believe they have allot of fat.

That's not true about the superworms. You wouldn't believe how many times I've hear that on here.

Haha well that's good then, i'm glad his food won't harm him. :)

I just got him last wednesday so i think he has been getting used to his new home, today i put in close to 15 in his cup in the morning and in the afternoon and he ate most of them. So hopefully his appetite continues to grow!

Thanks much, I will check out that site
