Im buying a whole setup with humidor and temp gages for them. I would like to get two chams preferably one boy one girl. I am just looking for a few suggestions on where to get my chams. I wanted to get panthers, but I heard they are not good for your first chams. Can someone help me out and show me what type of humidity I would need and chams that dont mind if once in a while I pull them out of the cage gentle with care. Also I would love to talk to one of the breeders to see if they can get me a nice pair

First off with your inexperience, and I mean this in the best way, you shouldn't be getting two to start with, that is a lot of care and a lot of work for someone who isn't experienced with them. Second, you really shouldn't house two chameleons together regardless, even if they are the same type or sex. Males will hurt eachother and stress the other out and same with the other combos. Either way you look at it, it won't be a good situation for the chameleons and you will put them in harms way. But you will want to start with a Veiled in my opinion, they are the easiest to care for and are very unique and wonderful. Humidity ranges for them to be about %50 at the low end to around 80% at the high end. I also recommend returning the fogger if that is what you did get and buying a misting system instead. Something like a mist king or an aquazamp that you can run on a timer throughout the day to keep constant humidity for the chameleon you chose to buy. I would look into LLLReptiles, chaotic chameleons(where i'm purchasing my next chameleon, a veiled. From Camimom), FLChameleons and some of our site sponsors. They all have very good bloodlines and healthy chameleons.

Does chaotic chameleons have a website? I was trying to find one and was not successful. If you have their info that would be great.

They do have a website, but it is on Facebook. Just type in "Chaotic Chameleons" on the search bar and it should be the only one. She has great pricing, but all of her babies at the present moment won't be available until late March or so.

Thank you Isa. ;)

As was stated, you should not keep any species of chameleon in the same enclosure, except for pygmies.

veileds and panthers are great starter chams.. they have the same basic care, with just a few minor variations.

Adults of either species require a 2x2x4 foot cage.

As for where to buy, any of the site sponsors are great, though of course, I recommend me for veileds as I have a current batch of hatchins right now! ;)

See the links below for more information on setting up the cage, what you'll need, and things to avoid for your new chameleon. There are caresheets for specific species as well. :)
