New Chameleon Hunger Strikes

Hello Chameleon Forums! I am a new owner to a Panther Cham and I've been doing in depth research prior to purchasing my 10 month. I have had 'Camo' for over a week now and he's responding great to his new atmosphere, he's active and drinks every morning when I mist the leaves. His only set back is I have yet to see him eat! I have offered 3-4 week crickets, super worms, king worms, mealworms, and still no budge in his appetite. I know it's common for new lizards to be stubborn but how long should I wait until I should start to worry about this?

Hey Menzie!
I'm sorry to hear about your issue. Poor little darling. Sometimes, chams are stimulated to feed with teal colored Hornworms and they really like the taste of silkworms usually. Something about caterpillars that really turn them on. Feeding hornworms will also help with their urate color, giving them a lot of moisture from an ultra juicy worm (and they're super fun to watch being eaten). Sometimes Dubia and other roaches can stimulate them to hunt for their food, just release the roach inside a SECURE cage, and let your cham check it out.

Good luck, and please don't hesitate to shoot me an emai or private message if you need any other help :) Merry Christmas!

Hello again everyone, sorry for such the late reply on this thread but the holidays tend to get real busy for me. But I thought I would update everyone in knowing that Camo is eating once again! It took a good two stubborn weeks but he's ingested 5 crickets and 1 super worm today. When my camera is up and running again I'll post some pics!
