New chameleon

Hello, we recently got a veiled chameleon (a month maybe, not really sure) He is housed in a screened cage, 16XX16X36, he has a basking bulb and UVB. He has some fake branches and vines along with a Golden Pothos plants. I have an automatic mister set up misting him 2-3 minutes 3 times a day and the lights stay on for about 12 hours. I also have a dripping system. His cage stays around 85 degrees during the day and drops to around 60 at night. The humidity varies anywhere between 50-60%.

He has only been in the cage for about 3 days but when we first brought him home he ate crickets and meal worms like crazy, he has since seem to have lost his appetite but has been drinking. I have yet to see a stool in the cage. I am mostly concerned with his eating because he ate at first but not a lot since. When should I get worried, and when should I expect to see him be more active?

I can't say if this is it but mealworms are really bad for them not only do they have no nutritional value they can cause impaction so your chameleon can't poop and it will die. like i said i don't know if this is the problem but it sounds like it could be.

Do they come down from the basking area to poop? Literally right after I posted he came down and pooped (white and black), then went back up to his basking area. He has only had 2 meal worms and then maybe 4-5 crickets so I will stop the meal worms then and not give him anymore.

They can yes they basically do what they want when it comes to that. But good he did that but don't give him any more meal worms those aren't good for him.

I am just worried because I read that juveniles eat about 6-9 crickets a day usually, and he isn't anywhere close. Is that just because he is in a new environment?

yes it should take a week for him to get used to it if he still isn't eating i would start to worry.

This was his poop, from what I read it means dehydration, but not really sure what else to do to get him to drink, maybe more misting?

What size are the crickets? A baby veiled chameleon should eat a lot more than 6 appropriately sized crickets.

Small, he seems to catch and eat them fine when he does
